The Field Elm Ulmus minor sensu latissimo cultivar 'Virgata' was described by Pepin [2] (as Ulmus campestris virgata) in Revue Hort. 1865: 347, 1865.

Description

Pepin described the tree as having slender, erect branches bestowing a fastigiate form.

Cultivation

Probably extinct. Planted before 1789 near Nangis, Seine-et-Marne [1].
